Intensive Outpatient Programs
New Directions offers three intensive outpatient programs to meet the demands of many working clients.
The Morning & Day Intensive Outpatient Programs meet on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm respectively for a total of four weeks. Our Evening Intensive Outpatient Program meets on Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Friday evenings for a total of 4 weeks. This group meets from 5:30pm-8:30pm
In these programs, clients learn to identify triggers to relapse, a variety of coping skills, life skills and goal setting. They also learn to identify their individual strengths and weaknesses which aide them in job searches and their overall self-esteem. The evening program also incorporates a family component in which
a family member or person of support for each client must come to three sessions as a requirement for successful completion. Following the Intensive Outpatient program, clients move on to an Outpatient Step Down Group that meets once a week for 12 weeks.
